4A Region III District 21 recap Oct. 30, 2012
The biggest upset of the week belonged to Wheatley, who took down 845th ranked Waltrip, 27-17.
Reagan's Tavon Dodd recorded the longest rushing play in 4A Region III District 21 this season in his game against Lee last week. Dodd's team defeated the Generals as he sprinted for 62 yards on the play and finished with 76 in all.
Reagan's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyron Washington threw for 116 yards and Javon Conner had 59 yards receiving. Joseph Dehn helped Reagan's passing attack out by catching two balls for 29 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Washington and Dodd Stephen Dixon, Sr.'s team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Washington leads the league in passing with 1239 yards, while Dodd has rushed for 493 yards this season. Milby's Everick Austin leads the league in receiving yards with 481 on 28 catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Bulldogs take on the Rams. Reagan is in third place, while Waltrip is in fourth place.
The Wildcats moved up to 1,015 from 1,054 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Wheatley was able to make move up by defeating Anthony Zuccarini's team 27-17.
