After four games on the road, Golden is heading back home. They will take on the D'Evelyn Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Last Wednesday, Golden got the win against the Panthers by a conclusive 48-24. The win was just what Golden needed coming off of a 50-23 loss in their prior contest.
Allie Neal continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 12 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brooklynn Carbone, who scored six points.
Meanwhile, D'Evelyn waltzed into their game on Wednesday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They breezed by Alameda at home to the tune of 68-6. That 62 point margin sets a new team best for D'Evelyn this season.
Golden's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for D'Evelyn, their win was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2.
Golden suffered a grim 63-37 defeat to the Jaguars in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Golden, Rebecca Taylor (who scored 20 points along with five steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
