Northglenn unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They took a hard  14-0 fall against the Northfield Nighthawks on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Norsemen of the  12-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2024.
Despite the loss, Northglenn still got an impressive performance from   Kaitlyn Fujinami, who rushed for 128 yards.

 Northglenn didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off six passes before the game was over. Fujinami led the group effort, picking up four of those  interceptions all by herself.  Karol Martinez-Tiscareno has been hot recently, having also posted five or more  total tackles the last three times she's  played.
 The critical scores for Northfield came from  Caroline Cummings and  Ale Garcia.
Northfield has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
 Looking ahead, Northglenn will hit the road for the first time this season to  face off against  Denver North  at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. As for Northfield, they will look to defend their home field  on Saturday against Thomas Jefferson  at 10:00  p.m.
