Basketball Recap: Monday's Win Is Skyline's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

If Shadow Ridge wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Skyline, they should've done a better job of containing Jordan Seiuli. The Skyline Coyotes had just enough and edged the Shadow Ridge Stallions out 44-42 thanks in part to Seiuli, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 21 boards. Those 21 rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Shadow Ridge lost on Monday despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Analynn Dunn, who made all 5 shots she took to post 13 points and five steals. Dunn is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Kylie Hammer was another key player, putting up seven points along with eight assists and five steals.

Skyline has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Shadow Ridge, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 6-3.

Skyline wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 56-21 defeat against Mountain View on the 10th. As for Shadow Ridge, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 93-14 loss against Sunnyslope on the 9th.
