After losing to the Oak Hills Highlanders the last time they met, the Fairfield Indians decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Fairfield secured a 32-26 W over Oak Hills on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Fairfield.
It was another big night for Myka Richardson, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times she's played. Lexi Hayes was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Oak Hills' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Kammerer, who scored 14 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Riep, who scored seven points along with six rebounds.
The victory got Fairfield back to even at 6-6. As for Oak Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5.
Fairfield will be playing at home against Mount Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Mount Notre Dame is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 55.8 points per game. As for Oak Hills, they will head out on the road to take on Middletown at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Middletown focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Saturday.
