Shoshoni has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Big Piney Punchers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Big Piney took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Shoshoni, who comes in off a win.
Shoshoni scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They breezed by Meeteetse at home to the tune of 51-18. That 51-18 margin sets a new team best for Shoshoni this season.
Shoshoni's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abigail Jennings, who scored nine points along with eight steals. Jennings is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Donelson, who scored seven points along with eight steals and five assists.
Meanwhile, Big Piney's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They lost to Big Horn on the road by a decisive 57-39 margin.
Shoshoni's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Big Piney, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
Shoshoni beat Big Piney 49-42 in their previous matchup back in February. Does Shoshoni have another victory up their sleeve, or will Big Piney turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
