Lakeshore were the 72-46 winner over the Live Oak Eagles when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Lakeshore took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of Live Oak on Monday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Lakeshore still got an impressive performance from Caiden Bickham, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Bickham hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Kaden Vial, who scored nine points along with five assists and two steals.
Lakeshore's defeat dropped their record down to 15-10. As for Live Oak, their win bumped their record up to 13-5.
Lakeshore will be playing at home against Franklinton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklinton is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. Live Oak won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Denham Springs at 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Denham Springs has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 527 points over their last eight matches.
