Basketball Recap: Baraga Skates Past Watersmeet with Ease

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Baraga). They blew past the Watersmeet Nimrods 71-43 on Friday. The win was nothing new for the Vikings as they're now sitting on three straight.

Baraga got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Joseph Fish out in front who went 6 of 10 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and five assists. Another player making a difference was Nolan Hendrickson, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 15 points and seven rebounds.

Baraga smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in four consecutive matches.

Baraga's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Watersmeet, they dropped their record down to 2-4 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Baraga will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ewen-Trout Creek at 7:20 p.m. As for Watersmeet, they will head out to take on Jeffers at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
