The Portland Adventist Academy Cougars will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Faith Bible Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Portland Adventist Academy will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Even though Scio scored an imposing 59 points on Wednesday, Portland Adventist Academy still came out on top. Portland Adventist Academy snuck past Scio with a 63-59 win.
Caleb Custer and Dane Petersen were among the main playmakers for Portland Adventist Academy as the former scored 17 points along with five rebounds and five steals and the latter scored 27 points along with eight rebounds and seven steals. The contest was Petersen's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Francis Saliba, who scored four points along with 13 rebounds.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 55 points the game before, Faith Bible Christian were a bit more limited in their matchup on Monday. They had to suffer through a rough 60-25 loss at the hands of Kennedy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Faith Bible Christian has scored all season.
Portland Adventist Academy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Faith Bible Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-3.
