After two games on the road, Cambridge Academy is heading back home. They will take on the Easley HomeSchool Guardians at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Cambridge Academy struggled with assists on Tuesday (Curtis Baptist had nine more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Cambridge Academy took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Curtis Baptist.
Jillian Mapes put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 14 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Alex Cockrell was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Easley HomeSchool lost to New Covenant School on the road by a decisive 51-32 margin on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Easley HomeSchool in their matchups with New Covenant School: they've now lost nine in a row.
Cambridge Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Easley HomeSchool, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-3.
