The Lucas Cubs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They blew past Danville 70-46. Given Lucas' advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Danville is ranked 687th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Logan Toms continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with six assists and four steals. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Aidan Culler, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Lucas pushed their record up to 4-0 with that victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Danville, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Lucas will be home for the holidays to greet St. Peter's at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Peter's is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Danville, they will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Gilead at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
