Drew is 1-7 against McIntosh since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Drew will head out on the road to take on the McIntosh Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. Drew has now lost 12 straight, leaving the team is hunting for their first win since December 9.
Last Friday, Drew was beaten by Northgate 69-29. Drew has not had much luck with Northgate recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Meanwhile, McIntosh pushed their score all the way to 56 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to Northside. McIntosh has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Drew dropped their record down to 1-21 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 20.0 points per game. As for McIntosh, their loss dropped their record down to 8-14.
Drew took a serious blow against McIntosh in their previous matchup last Friday, falling 68-26. Can Drew avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
