The Pleasanton Eagles lost against the Floresville Tigers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Pleasanton suffered a tough 52-28 loss at the hands of Floresville. While losing is never fun, Pleasanton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 933rd, while Floresville is ranked 409th).
Kenzie Huron went supernova for Floresville, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Huron has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. Another player making a difference was Jordin Johns, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Pleasanton has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-18 record this season. As for Floresville, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-12.
Pleasanton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Floresville, they will head out on the road to square off against Devine at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Devine is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
