While it was all tied up 20-20 at halftime, the Sublette Larks were not quite the Stanton County Trojans's equal in the second half on Friday. Sublette took a 48-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Stanton County. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Sublette has scored all season.
Stanton County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from David Crane, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Alvin Solis was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Sublette's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Stanton County, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Sublette will face off against Wichita County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Kansas (Wichita County is ranked 168th, while Sublette is ranked 167th). Stanton County on the road again on Tuesday and play against Elkhart at 7:30 p.m. on January 16th. Elkhart is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak.
