The Concordia Cardinals's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fifth straight loss. The New Year welcomed they with a 64-30 whooping from Bracken Christian. Concordia was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bracken Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Bracken Christian to victory, but perhaps none more so than Wyatt Parsons, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 rebounds. The matchup was Parsons' third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Ethan Cruz, who scored 13 points.
Concordia's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Bracken Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season.
Concordia will head out on the road to face off against Summit Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Summit Christian Academy comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Bracken Christian, they will be playing at home against St. Paul at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
