After three games on the road, Wenonah is heading back home. They will take on the Ramsay Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wenonah has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 335 points over their last five matchups.
Wenonah pushed their score all the way to 72 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 79-72 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hueytown. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Monday (59), Wenonah still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Tuesday Ramsay sidestepped Carver Birmingham for a 56-54 victory. Given Ramsay's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 52nd, while Carver Birmingham is ranked 201st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Wenonah has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Ramsay, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Wenonah came up short against Ramsay in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 62-58. Will Wenonah have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
