Northlake Christian's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Mt. Hermon as they made off with a 14-0 victory. The Wolverines haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Sara Davis and Abigail Willie made a splash no matter where they played. Throwing, Davis pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Willie pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Davis has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. At the plate, Davis scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Willie went 3-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddie Henderson, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Those two hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sam Raimondi, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

Ponchatoula saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Faye Boihem, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Sierra Bess also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Ponchatoula's defeat dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Northlake Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 9-11.
Tuesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Northlake Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .432. However, it's not like Ponchatoula struggles in that department as they've averaged .473. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
