McDowell will be defending their home turf for the first time on Friday when they go up against Patton at Endowment Game @ Titan Stadium at 7:30 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against McDowell, but that can only make success all the sweeter.
Everything went McDowell's way against Avery County last Friday as they made off with a 52-27 win.
Meanwhile, Patton had enough points to win and then some against R-S Central last week, winning 23-7.
Their wins bumped McDowell to 2-0 and Patton to 1-1. Patton's offensive line will need to gear up for a tough test against a McDowell defensive front that amassed 4 sacks against Avery County, so we'll see if they are up to the task.
