If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Wray. They hope to keep the momentum going despite having enjoyed some extra time before their next match against Sheridan at 1:00 PM on Saturday. Wray will be strutting in after a win while Sheridan will be stumbling in from a defeat.
Wray took care of business in their home opener. They ended up forfeiting their matchup against Highland 41-8 two weeks ago. Wray's success was spearheaded by the efforts of sophomore Junior Arambula, who rushed for 37 yards and 2 touchdowns, and senior Cade Hillman, who rushed for 129 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 6-42, which was the final score in Sheridan's tilt against Colorado Springs Christian last Saturday.
Sheridan's loss took them down to 0-2 while Wray's victory pulled them up to 0-1. We'll see if Wray is able to find more success (and make for a more exciting contest than their last) when the teams meet up.
