Even though the Clarkstown South Vikings scored an imposing 57 points on Monday, the White Plains Tigers still came out on top. White Plains took down Clarkstown South 71-57. That result was just more of the same for these two, as White Plains also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2017.
White Plains had a senior duo take command as Sequoia Layne scored 30 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals and Ineivi Plata scored 25 points along with 8 assists and 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tess Haddad, who scored 9 points.
White Plains' victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Clarkstown South, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
White Plains will head out on the road to face off against North Rockland at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clarkstown South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ossining at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
