The St. David's Warriors can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Trinity Academy 49-15 at home. With St. David's ahead 30-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
St. David's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kate Benson led the charge by scoring 14 points along with six steals. Benson is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last five games she's played. Rebecca Leshnock was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds.
St. David's has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Trinity Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. David's will take on South Wake at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully South Wake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Monday. As for Trinity Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against GRACE Christian at 5:15 p.m.
