The Norwell Knights won the last time they faced the Heritage Patriots, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Norwell walked away with a 62-52 win over Heritage. Given Norwell's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 137th, while Heritage is ranked 304th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Loss or not, Heritage got some senior leadership from Kobe Meyer and Noah Redmon. Meyer scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and four steals, while Redmon. scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Lantae Cassel, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Norwell's victory bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Heritage, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-12.
Norwell will face off against Huntington North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Norwell has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Heritage, they will be playing at home against Jay County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Jay County will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Heritage surely won't give up without a fight.
