After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, Hanna was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They skirted past the Tuloso-Midway Warriors & Cherokees  4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest  win the Golden Eagles have posted  since March 22, 2024.
 Sebastian Escamilla made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   pitching six innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   four  hits. Escamilla was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with one  triple and one  run.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Orlando Rico, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. What's more,  he posted two  hits, the most he's  had since back in March of 2024.
The  victory  got Hanna back to even at 1-1. As for Tuloso-Midway, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.
 Coming up, Hanna will venture away from home to  challenge McAllen Memorial  at 1:20  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Tuloso-Midway, they will head out on the road to  face off against  La Joya  at 5:40  p.m.  on Thursday.
