Christ Church Episcopal extended the longest winning streak in A Region II this week by beating Johnson, 51-20. The victory was the 11th in a row for the Cavaliers.
St. Joseph's Catholic and Lewisville played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with St. Joseph's Catholic eventually emerging with a 57-56 victory.
Southside Christian's John Walker and Colby Boggs have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Walker has thrown for 2525 yards this season, while Boggs has 81 catches for 1055 yards. Whitmire's Sam Miller leads the league in rushing yards with 224.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when the Knights take on Christ Church Episcopal. St. Joseph's Catholic has allowed 307 points this season, while Don Frost's team has given up 104.
Joe Hyland's team made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,431 from 6,469. The advance stemmed from a 57-56 victory over the Lions last week.
