Clarksburg hasn't had much luck against Halls recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Rockets will welcome the Tigers at 5:00 p.m. After the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one won't be so lucky on Tuesday.
Clarksburg is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Middleton 17-1 on Monday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Rockets needed considering they were shut out in their previous match.
Addison Milam made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Clarksburg got a massive performance out of Libby Autry, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Autry a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lainey Glosson, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Halls got themselves on the board against Middleton on Friday, but Middleton never followed suit. They put the hurt on Middleton with a sharp 12-0 victory. The result was nothing new for Halls, who have now won six contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Like Clarksburg, Halls also got a great game from a two-way player: Carrlee Riddick. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Riddick was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addyson Brodie, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Jayla Cobb was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1.
Halls hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Halls is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Clarksburg, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Clarksburg has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Halls struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Clarksburg might still be hurting after the 9-1 loss they got from Halls when the teams last played back in March. Will the Rockets have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
