While losing is never fun, Eastern Randolph can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 465th, while Southwestern Randolph is ranked 114th).
Eastern Randolph lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ziera Watson, who scored seven points.
Eastern Randolph's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-12. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.2 points per game. As for Southwestern Randolph, their win bumped their record up to 13-2.
Eastern Randolph will be playing at home against Uwharrie Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Uwharrie Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Wednesday. As for Southwestern Randolph, they will head out on the road to challenge Wheatmore at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
