The Cane Bay Cobras fell victim to the White Knoll Timberwolves''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Timberwolves, falling 28-0. While losing is never fun, Cane Bay can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 64th, while White Knoll is ranked seventh).
White Knoll can attribute much of their success to Landon Sharpe, who threw for 239 yards and three touchdowns while completing 87% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground. Austin Cunningham was in the mix too, providing White Knoll with two touchdowns.
This is the second loss in a row for Cane Bay and nudges their season record down to 6-5. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.5 points per game. As for White Knoll, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Cane Bay does not have any more games scheduled as of now. White Knoll will face off against Fort Dorchester at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Dorchester is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
