Bureau Valley has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Amboy Clippers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Bureau Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Bureau Valley was the victim of a tough 55-33 loss at the hands of Annawan. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bureau Valley has scored all season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Taylor Neuhalfen, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. The contest was her third in a row with at least ten points. Kate Stoller was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Meanwhile, Amboy beat Hinckley-Big Rock 45-34 on Friday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Amboy.
Bureau Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Amboy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
Bureau Valley lost to Amboy on the road by a decisive 38-20 margin in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Bureau Valley avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
