On Saturday,  things could have been worse for Butler, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a  48-33 loss to Westside. While losing is never fun, Butler can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states  (they are ranked 73rd in Georgia, while Westside is ranked 17th in South Carolina).
 Butler's loss  came despite strong showings from  Brayla Harris and  Kam Gresham.  Harris  scored 19 points, while  Gresham  scored two points along with nine  rebounds and two  steals. That's the first time this season that  Gresham  pulled down eight or more   rebounds.
 This is  the second loss in a row for Butler and  nudges their season record down to 10-6. As for Westside, the  win was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-3.
 Butler will head out on the road to  square off against  Thomson at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Thomson will be looking to keep their six-game home win streak alive. Westside will take on Berea at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Berea is coming into the  matchup on a three-game losing streak.
