After flying high against the Newark Vocational Eagles last Thursday, the American History Bald Eagles came back down to earth. American History fell 23-16 to Weehawken on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points American History has scored all season.
American History lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ashiyah Holliman, who scored seven points along with three steals. Holliman is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Shamiyah Mubarak, who scored two points along with seven steals.
American History's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Weehawken, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-5.
American History will be playing at home against Bard Early College at 10:00 a.m. on Monday. As for Weehawken, they will head out on the road to challenge Harrison at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
