The Choctaw County Tigers had to endure an 11-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 42-40 win from a begrudging Tigerssquad. That looming 42-40 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for they yet this season.
Choctaw County can attribute much of their success to India Graham, who scored 19 points along with three steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Graham has scored at least 25% of Choctaw County's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jikayla Mosley, who scored six points.
Choctaw County's victory bumped their record up to 1-8. As for Clarke County, their loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 4-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Choctaw County will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Marengo at 6:30 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Clarke County will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against McIntosh at 6:00 p.m. on December 21st.
