Roane County won the last time they faced Meigs County and things went their way on Friday too. The Roane County Yellowjackets breezed past the Meigs County Tigers to the tune of 71-43. The Yellowjackets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 matches by 21 points or more this season.
Aaron Layne was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 18 points and 14 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 18 or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Aiden O'Leary, who went 5 for 10 en route to 12 points in addition to five assists and three steals.
Roane County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.
