Buena is 0-8 against Tucson High Magnet School since April of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Colts will look to defend their home field against the Badgers at 4:00 p.m. Buena will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Last Wednesday, Buena earned a 20-16 win over Pueblo. With that victory, the Colts brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

Morgan Smith was a standout: she went 4-for-6 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those four hits gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Larson, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Buena was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .465. They are 5-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Tucson High Magnet School's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They wound up with the same score they had in their last game (11-6), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time.
Claudeona Lesley and Adreana Hernandez stepped up to the plate in a big way. Lesley went 2-for-4 with one home run, while Hernandez went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Alma Teillon was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one RBI.
Buena's win bumped their record up to 5-16. As for Tucson High Magnet School, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 14-8.
Friday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Buena hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .318. However, it's not like Tucson High Magnet School struggles in that department as they've averaged .343. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
