River View has gone 9-1 against Mount View recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Raiders will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against the Golden Knights at 5:30 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Mount View will be up against a hot River View team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Raiders came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 12-11 W against Greater Beckley Christian.

Baleigh Auville spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned (and five unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Mileigh Goodman, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-5. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Lilly Perkins, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Goodman wasn't the only one making solid contact: River View kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Mount View got the win against Phelps on Tuesday by a conclusive 13-5. The result was nothing new for the Golden Knights, who have now won four contests by eight runs or more so far this season.
Mount View let Shiann Carter and Malayah Barnes run wild. Carter went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases and three RBI, while Barnes scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Those four stolen bases gave Carter a new career-high. Krislyn York was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
Mount View is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for River View, they pushed their record up to 3-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
Wednesday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. River View has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .649. However, it's not like Mount View struggles in that department as they've averaged .489. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went River View's way against Mount View when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as River View made off with a 14-0 victory. Do the Raiders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Golden Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
