After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Americas, the Taft Raiders were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 62-48 victory over Del Valle.
Taft can attribute much of their success to Marcus Williams, who scored 22 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Williams has scored at least 25% of Taft's points. Another player making a difference was Hildebrand Marquez, who scored 17 points.
Taft's victory bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Del Valle, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-5.
Taft will head out on the road to face off against Cedar Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Park has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 247 points over their last four matchups. As for Del Valle, they will be playing at home against Irvin at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Irvin is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
