The Calvary Academy Warrior's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a serious blow against Pilgrim Academy, falling 69-24. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Calvary Academy in their matchups with Pilgrim Academy: they've now lost five in a row.
Pilgrim Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Brittin, who scored 13 points along with three steals. Those three steals set a new season-high mark for him. Ayden Miller was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 13 rebounds.
Calvary Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pilgrim Academy, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Gloucester County Christian the next time they take the court. Calvary Academy will head out to face Gloucester County Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Pilgrim Academy will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
