School of the Ozarks has been on the road for four straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Pleasant Hope Pirates at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Monday, School of the Ozarks sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-54 win over Exeter. The win was just what School of the Ozarks needed coming off of a 60-35 loss in their prior game.
School of the Ozarks had a senior duo take command as Shadrach Thompson dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds and Graham Wilhoit scored 9 points along with 14 rebounds. Wilhoit is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Caleb Widner was another key contributor, scoring 9 points along with 4 steals.
Meanwhile, Pleasant Hope entered their tilt with Conway with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Pleasant Hope took down Conway 87-72 on Saturday.
Blue Eye's win bumped their season record to 0-0 while School of the Ozarks' loss dropped theirs to 2-1.
School of the Ozarks might still be hurting after the 57-34 defeat they got from Pleasant Hope when the teams last played back in December of 2022.
