Hancock has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Northern Huskies at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Hancock was beaten by Turkeyfoot Valley Area 51-22. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Hancock came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 258th in Maryland, while Turkeyfoot Valley Area is ranked 586th in Pennsylvania).
Hannah Stouffer was Hancock's leading scorer, having posted six points.
Skylar Smith held things down on the boards with eight rebounds. She took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with four assists.
Northern suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-29 walloping at the hands of Southern. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Northern has scored all season.
Hancock's loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-7. As for Northern, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
Hancock took a serious blow against Northern when the teams last played back in December of 2022, falling 63-4. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Hancock was down 40-2.
