The Frontier Falcons were the 46-38 winner over the Orchard Park Quakers when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Frontier took a 77-59 bruising from Orchard Park on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
It was another big night for Halle Senfield, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 rebounds for Orchard Park. That makes it five consecutive games in which Senfield has scored at least 25% of Orchard Park's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Hernandez, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
Frontier now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Orchard Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Frontier will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Clarence at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Orchard Park will finish 2023 at home by hosting Lewiston-Porter at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday.
