Central Catholic barely beat Hanson Memorial the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles' pitchers stepped up to hand the Tigers a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. Considering the Eagles have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The win got Central Catholic back to even at 13-13. As for Hanson Memorial, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-10-1.

Central Catholic and Hanson Memorial could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. The Eagles will challenge Holy Cross at 4:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank disadvantage (137 vs. 7). Meanwhile, Hanson Memorial (ranked 147th) will meet Vandebilt Catholic (ranked 17th) at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
