The Alhambra Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Millennium Tigers at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Alhambra will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Alhambra lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Metro Tech, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's game. The Lions never let the Knights get on the board and left with a 22-0 win on Tuesday. That 22-run margin sets a new team best for the Lions this season.
Aliyah Carranza made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out eight over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than eight strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with one double and one RBI. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Alhambra got a massive performance out of Lillyana Reyes, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave Reyes a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lesly Castaneda, who went 3-for-5 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base.
Alhambra kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive matchups.
Corona del Sol hit Millennium with a eight-run fifth inning on Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Tigers came up short against the Aztecs, falling 13-3. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Aztecs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Millennium saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amaya Reyes, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one run.
Alhambra pushed their record up to 4-4 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.3 runs over those games. As for Millennium, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-9.
Alhambra might still be hurting after the 13-2 loss they got from Millennium in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
