Basketball Recap: CORE Butte Drops Season-High Score on Williams

CORE Butte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 47-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Williams Yellowjackets. One positive for the Lynx, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Williams got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Diego Ambriz out in front who posted 14 points. Another player making a difference was Emmanuel Juarez, who put up 11 points.

CORE Butte's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Williams, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. CORE Butte will venture away from home to take on Paradise at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Williams and Winters will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
