Ethan Smith put up the most rebounds he's had since back in February of 2024 on Tuesday. He almost dropped a double-double on 28 points and nine boards. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against St. Joseph Central back in January of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. That makes it four consecutive games in which Smith has scored at least a third of Symmes Valley's points.

Smith and Symmes Valley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Northwest at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Vikings got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Mohawks, probably because Smith had a solid game then too: he went 12 for 22 on his way to 30 points along with six rebounds and six steals.
