The Legacy Charter Eagles had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They breezed by Redeemer Christian at home to the tune of 58-27. With that win, Legacy Charter brought their scoring average up to 51.8 points per game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Legacy Charter to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyle James, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds. James is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now stole two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Richmond, who scored 13 points.
Andrew Parker and Jackson Hise certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Parker dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds, while Hise scored 6 points. Parker scored a full 48.1% of Redeemer Christian's points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Legacy Charter's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Redeemer Christian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Legacy Charter will challenge South Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Lake presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Legacy Charter in Florida (South Lake is ranked 178th, while Legacy Charter is ranked 424th). As for Redeemer Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Cornerstone Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
