The Los Gatos Wildcats entered their tilt with the Gunn Titans with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Los Gatos took down Gunn 66-49 on Thursday. Given Los Gatos' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while Gunn is ranked 380th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Scotty Brennan, who scored 25 points along with five rebounds and three blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Nolan G. koch, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds.
Los Gatos has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for Gunn, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-7.
Los Gatos will be playing at home against Palo Alto at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. As for Gunn, they will head out on the road to square off against Wilcox at 7:45 p.m. on Saturday. Wilcox knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Gunn likes a good challenge.
