Clear Brook waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They secured a 53-49 W over The Woodlands Highlanders. Given the Wolverines' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 198th, while the Highlanders are ranked 434th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Clear Brook is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 13 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.8 points per game. As for The Woodlands, they now have a losing record at 8-9.

Clear Brook will take on Clear Falls at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. The Woodlands and Brazosport will round out the year against one another at at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
