The Scott Central Rebels lost against the Bay Springs Bulldogs back in December of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Scott Central was beaten by Bay Springs 56-22. Scott Central has not had much luck with Bay Springs recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
When it comes to explaining why Scott Central lost, one person who can't be blamed is Azaeliyah Lyles. Despite the final result, she scored six points along with seven rebounds and five steals. Aniyah James was another key contributor, scoring two points along with 13 rebounds.
Scott Central's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Bay Springs, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
Scott Central will stay at home for another game and welcome Clarkdale at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. Clarkdale is hoping to put an end to a nine-game streak of away losses. As for Bay Springs, they will head out on the road to face off against Lake at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Mississippi Rankings (they are ranked 178th, while Bay Springs is ranked 35th).
