The Hanahan Hawks won the last time they faced the Beaufort Eagles, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Hanahan came out on top against Beaufort by a score of 29-17.
Hanahan's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaylah Hughes, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Hughes is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashtyn Adams, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Hanahan is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 13-11 record this season. As for Beaufort, their loss dropped their record down to 7-14.
Hanahan will head out on the road to face off against Battery Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Battery Creek is coming into the game with seven straight losses at home, meaning Hanahan will have to defend against a squad hungry for a victory. Beaufort does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
