The Landon Bears will face off against the Episcopal Maroon at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Landon has seven straight victories, Episcopal has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
On Wednesday, Landon got the win against Avalon by a conclusive 11-1. Considering the Bears have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Zach Burstein was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Manny Monsalve, who earned one RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Landon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Episcopal came up short against Landon on Tuesday, falling 13-4.
Mac Halm made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Landon's win was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.9 runs over those games. As for Episcopal, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13-1.
Episcopal's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Landon has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .469. It's a different story for Episcopal, though, as they've only averaged .287. Will they be able to contain Landon's hitters?
Everything went Landon's way against Episcopal when the teams last played on Tuesday, as Landon made off with a 13-4 win. Do the Bears have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Maroon turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
