Despite the defeat, Florence saw an underclassman step up: Emerson Herring scored 21 points. Herring scored a full 75% of Florence's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Florence's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Water Valley, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
Florence will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Sidney at 11:30 a.m. on December 1st. Sidney is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Water Valley, they will square off against Menard at 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
